Welcome to the Tiggys Pet Stop diary, you can keep up to date with the goings on at the pet shop here, check back for regular updates about what is going on in store. 23/3/10 Tiggy's refurbishment is almost complete! With a new extensive range of products and new 'pet' section. Make sure you come down to the store to take a look at our latest arrivals including the amazing colour changing Yemen Chameleons! Keep checking the site regularly for more updates. 7/1/09 A belated HAPPY NEW YEAR from everybody here at Tiggys Pet Stop. With the cold weather upon us don't forget to feed the birds, with a wide range of choice and good stock availability we have everything you need to keep them well fed throughout the winter. Look out for some new and exciting changes in store in the coming weeks and months. With new exotic pets and brand new increased product range aswell as store layout and features due to be changed make sure you keep visiting so you don't miss out. Also look out for similar events to our 'Skunk Day' which we held last October in the coming months. Happy New Year, Tiggys 6/1/09 Due to the severe weather conditions witnessed over the last few days it is with regret that we shall be closed between 1.15pm and 2pm today (Wednesday 6th January) due to the unavailability of staff during this time. Other than that we are open for business as usual. Tiggys 24/11/09 The count down to the Alcester St.Nicholas night event and market has begun. The event is now less than two weeks away on Sunday 6th December from 2.30pm onwards. We will be open from 10.30 am on Sunday 6th December along with many other retailers in Alcester. It's not too late to enter our amazing competition and entry forms will be available on the day. So come down for a look on the 6th to witness amazing fireworks, wonderful live music and have a browse through our traditional shops. Tiggys 18/11/09 Tiggys Pet Stop will be a main feature at the Alcester St.Nicholas night event. From 2.30 pm we will have a stall on the market when you can enter our ' Win the window' competition. We will also have our mascot 'Pepe' the skunk and about on the town posing for pictures and stopping for cuddles. The shop will open from 10.30am - 4.30am on Sunday, for one weekend only. We look forward to seeing you there! 7/11/09 Pop into Tiggys Pet Stop and get the chance to win over £350 worth of brand new and official Disney plush toys. All you have to do is complete the registration form with the answer to this simple question: What is the name of the snake from the jungle book? The draw closes on 30th December with the draw on the 31st. Why not get your new year off to a bang! 13/10/09 Tiggys Pet Stop just got wilder.... On Saturday 17th October, Tiggy's pet stop will be unveiling it's brand new feature. SKUNKS! The finishing touches on their brand new enclosure are just being made in preperation for the big day. Skunks are becoming increasingly popular pets, and our two new resident skunks are for sale at £650 each. The male, aged 16 weeks is very friendly and the girl is also friendly and loves apples. Both skunks will be available for cuddles throughout the day. The event lasts from 9am-5pm this Saturday (17th), we are expecting to be very busy so make sure you are early to avoid dissapointment. The taking of photos is welcome and the local press will also be on hand to take pictures for the following weeks newspapers! We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, Tiggys! 2/10/09 It was as if Halloween had come early at Tiggys Pet Stop yesterday when a young bat was brought into the shop after it was found on a neighbouring shop window ledge. The bat was healthy but a bit dazed, it was decided to observe him for several hours before the unanimous decision was made to release him that night. The bat was released in the Methodist Church Gardens near to where he was found, the bat needed some encouraging but after 20 or so minutes he took flight to his life of freedom. A truly memorable sight. Keep an eye out for bats in your own garden as the nights start drawing in. Bat boxes can be ordered from in store. Regards, Tiggys 1/10/09 Ocotber is here and so is our latest reptile product delivery, the reptile section has really take off and if you haven't been to see it yet then we are definately worth a visit. Over the coming weeks there are going to be some modifications in the reptile and fish room leading to our biggest exhibit and a brand new and amazing species of animal coming to the shop. We can't wait, pop down soon there is alway something new at Tiggys!!! 16/9/09 Unfortunately there has been no sign of the tortoise as of yet, and at the Tiggy's we are becoming increasingly concerned for its wellbeing. The interest in this case has been huge in the town following the recent local media coverage and the spread of the news by word of mouth. We appreciate people passing on the message as we have not given up, and we would like the tortoise back as soon as possible. On a more positive note the baby African Pygmy Hedgehogs are up and about now exploring the big wide world, and they will be available for rehoming from the 7th October. Come and see them soon to avoid dissapointment! 8/9/09 The search for the stolen tortoise continues. By tomorrow we hope to have pictures availavle for customers to see in case they are offered a tortoise for sale or hear of somebody who has recently acquired one with a health problem. On a more positive note we are expecting a delivery of some more reptile equipment in the coming days including some state of the art Lizard and Snake starter kits. Modifications on the website are also ongoing so please check back for updates and new features. Have a good week, The Tiggys Pet Stop Team 7/9/09 It is with great sadness to report that a young Horsefield Tortoise was stolen from Tiggys Pet Stop on Monday 7th September 2009. The tortoise was stolen from it's enclosure where it was rehabilitating from illness, it is with urgency that we appeal for the return of this tortoise as he is recieving essential medication and without it he will not survive long. Please contact us if you have any information, no questions asked, we just want the tortoise to return safely. Police are investigating the incident. 4/9/09 The tree frogs have landed! Tiggys Pet Stop is now stocking the amazing American Green Tree Frogs! We also supply all you need to get your tank or vivarium set up for your new group of froggies! Come along to the store this week to see our ever expanding range of unusual animals and our new reptile and fish equipment room! Not to be missed! If you can't find what product or pet you are looking for in store please speak to one of the team who will be able to assist you. The Tiggys Pet Stop Team 9/8/09 An exciting new era began at Tiggy's today with the opening of our brand new reptile range. We took delivery of several new and unusual exotic species today including Bearded Dragons, Corn Snakes and lots of different species of Stick Insects. Corn Snakes and Bearded Dragons are great starter reptiles and as long as the correct care is provided they can be very tame and intresting pets. The reptiles are located in the Fish room and will be on public display from Monday 10th August. Don't forget to check out our current exotic species whilst you are there these include, Horsefield Tortoises, Land Hermit Crabs, Giant African Land Snails and African Pygmy Hedgehogs. We look forward to seeing you in the shop this week! 7/8/09 Today to celebrate the launch of Disney's new G-Force film Tiggy's pet stop opened a stall outside the Stratford Picture House where guests were allowed to get up close with the guinea pigs and degu's. We also held a colouring competition so if you've finished you colouring sheets,send them back to the store and the lucky winner will recieve a great G-Force Prize. (Click for bigger pictures) 3/8/09 Come along to Stratford Picture House this Friday to get up close with some cuddly guinea pigs to celebrate the launch of Disney's new G-Force film. There will be the chance to stroke and hold the guinea pigs whilst it will also be fun to see them playing in giant balls in their play pen. Martin will be available to answer all of your guinea pig questions before and after the film. 29/7/09 Tiggys Pet Stop are now stocking Land Hermit Crabs, the second delivery of crabs arrived in store today along with all the accessories to go with them. These creatures are fabulous to watch and make a great addtion to your living room or bedroom in a beach themed tank. We have a wide range of Hagen CRABWORX products and T-Rex starter kits available. We are also running a promotion where if you combine buying the starter kit and the plastic crab tank you will get a discount! We have 2 Jumbo hermit crabs and they are the size of a 14 year olds fist, these beauties are very active at night as they scavenge on the fresh veg we give to them as a supplement to their food pellets. We also have 10 smaller hermit crabs and these are a bargain at £12 each, they are so active and we have had people already come in to the shop and admit to spending ten to twenty minutes looking at them. We are expecting these critters to be a huge hit, so make sure you get down here to secure your hermit crabs before this lot are gone. Tiggys Pet Stop just got wilder....

Ocotber is here and so is our latest reptile product delivery, the reptile section has really take off and if you haven't been to see it yet then we are definately worth a visit. An exciting new era began at Tiggy's today with the opening of our brand new reptile range. Come along to Stratford Picture House this Friday to get up close with some cuddly guinea pigs to celebrate the launch of Disney's new G-Force film.
